Want to snazz up those clip art images in
your PowerPoint presentations?
Here's two
things you can do:
Changing colors
within the clip art:
-
First, click on
your clipart image so it is selected (has white boxes
around it)
-
Then, go to you
view menu and go to "toolbars" and select your picture
toolbar
-
On this toolbar,
you will see a button for "recolor picture"......when
you click on this, you will get a box which shows
all the colors in your clipart and you can change one or
all of them to suit your needs.
Animating separate
pieces of a clipart image:
-
If you want
different parts of an image to animate separately, you
must remember that PowerPoint sees everything as objects
and it sees your clipart image as ONE object.
-
If you want to see
it as separate objects, you must select your clipart
image, then go to your drawing toolbar and click on the
word "draw" and select "ungroup" and say "yes" to the
prompt to change your clipart to a Microsoft Office
Drawing Object.
-
You will now see
many white boxes all over your clip art image.....this
is how many objects PowerPoint now sees. When you
go to your slide show menu and select "custom
animation", you will see all of these objects there now
and can animate them however you want.

to have fun with clipart in PowerPoint, click on this lion!!
Here's a REAL find! An add-in that
lets you control the sound volume on individual slides!
It also lets you adjust the volume DURING THE SHOW. (PPT
2k2/2k3 users don't need this, since it's now available in the
program.)
Check out Volume Control.
