Do you hate
Office's collapsible toolbars as much as I do?
Every time I want a button, I have to click on dropdown arrows and find the
darn thing!
Why does Microsoft consider this an improvement? (They obviously do because they
added the same feature to Windows XP/2K & ME!)
Well....in Office 2K/XP/2K3, there ARE ways to get the toolbars back to the way they
were in Office 97:
-
Go into any of the Office programs (if you fix it in one, it's fixed in
all of them):
-
Go to the Tools Menu and select "Customize".
-
In this box,
click on the "Options" tab
-
In 2K, take
the checks out of the two boxes that say "Standard and
Formatting Toolbars Share One Row" and "Menus Show Recently
Used Commands First"
- In XP and 2K3, add checks to "Show Standard and Formatting toolbars on two rows"
and "Always show full menus"
POOF!!....BACK TO THE WAY I LIKE 'EM!!
Hmmmm ... now how about
that pesky Office Assistant, Clippy?
