My name is Parker Renaud, I have a BS in Finance from the University of South Carolina. I'm 53 years old, happily married, and will celebrate my 30th wedding anniversary this summer. I have three children, two sons, ages 24 and 18 and a 16 year old daughter. I have been an adult leader in the Boy Scouts for 16 years. I love to read, play basketball, go camping and canoeing.

 I have been using computers since I bought a Hewlett Packard 99-4A in the late 70's and have had a computer on my desk at work since 1982. If I had it to do over again, I would major in a computer field. Learning computer hardware and software seems to come naturally to me, and I even remember the passwords of most of the people in my office. In March of 2000 I became the IT manager of Colliers Keenan Inc., the largest commercial real estate company in South Carolina with offices in Columbia, Charleston, Greenville, and Savannah, GA. This was the first computer network I had ever seen so I was very surprised to get the job. I am responsible for 5 servers and 65 workstations in our Columbia office and providing hardware and software support to 70 local users. I provide long-distance support to our other offices also. The previous IT Manager was a real whiz on NT, Exchange, SQL, etc., but knew next to nothing about Office, Picture Publisher, Street Atlas USA, and other software our employees use. His stock answers for every problem were either "Reboot It" or "The Software Won't Do That". My main job, obviously, is user support, but I have learned a tremendous amount about networks and am able to keep ours running well.
